In November, thousands of delegates and climate activists will be traveling to Bonn for the 23rd UN climate conference (COP23). This is a unique opportunity for us to speak out for climate justice! The conference will be a space of networking and exchange that inspires and strengthens our work for climate justice!

Why

…a People’s Climate Summit?

From November 3-7 we gather in Bonn at the People’s Climate Summit to advance our movements and solutions for climate justice. We want a transition towards a society based on caring for the planet and for each other – not on exploitation. Our conference will be a space for networking and exchange that inspires and strengthens our work for climate justice.

Evening Panels

On November 3- 5 there will be three evening events, where key issues will be explored: Global Climate Justice“ (Friday, 3 Nov), „Leave it in the ground: how to go on with decarbonization“ (Saturday, 4 Nov) and „Who is making the transition?“ (Sunday, 5 Nov). Speakers from the South and North will present their perspectives and will debate with the participants and with us.

Workshops

More than 50 workshops (Nov, 6-7) will debate how to put a social-ecological transition into practice; they will highlight global struggles for climate justice; there will be space for skill-sharing and networking between initiatives.
